About Champions League- Common Questions

I play on an AYSO or USYSA team already, can I also play in the Champions League?  Yes!  The United States Soccer Federation, Soccer's governing body in the U.S.A. strictly forbids athletes being discriminated based on participation in another sanctioned organization.

Do we need to fill out any extra paperwork when attending tournaments?  No!  US Club Soccer does not require any paperwork to be filled out when traveling out of state nor do teams need to pay additional fees.  Participation in in-state tournaments is just as simple.

What happens if I miss a deadline?  First, don't worry.  Second, give us a call.  Most of the time, we are able to help you and your team out.  Unlike other leagues, we feel there are very few deadlines that are critical to the effectiveness of a great league.  Once brackets are set each season, it is too late to join.

How competitive are the teams in the Champions League?  Two things can be said.  First, it depends upon the division and second, we have a very wide range of talent.  Some teams are brand new while others are ranked in the top ten in the country.  Call us and we can help you find the right division for your team!

In what division will my team be placed?

Coaches are rarely denied their placement requests in the Champions League.  We do not believe that there is ever a good enough reason for a strong team to be placed in a low division.  We make every effort to ensure that the level a team plays is where it is placed.

Does my team need to have a sponsoring organization to join US Club Soccer and the Michigan Champions League?

No!  Any team may join US Club Soccer by registering through the Champions League.  By registering through the Champions League, a team is not directly a US Club Soccer member.  Any club can join US Club Soccer as a member club by registering three (3) teams under the US Club Soccer umbrella.

How are the schedules created?

The Champions League provides teams with brackets and fixtures (who plays whom and where).  It is then up to the coaches to self schedule their seasons.  This is done via telephone and must be done by the deadline provided.

We are scheduled to play an opponent in an upcoming tournament against a league opponent.  Can we count this result in the league standings?

No!  League games must be played as league games.

What are the major advantages to playing in US Club Soccer?

Visit www.usclubsoccer.com for an entire list of programming but keep an eye our for the US Club Soccer National Cup, the ID2 Program, and flexible rostering as major advantages.

Is the registration through US Club Soccer difficult?

No!  Registration is simple.  See the information below...the entire process takes about 1/2 hour.
